It Helps To Have Gills

It helps to have gills

Ah, Oregon - they say that if we were to let a little rain stop us from riding, we'd never ride. Okay, we would ride, but not nearly as much.

Summer Velo

These guys wimped out (all Mike G., who Lynne and I shamed into riding . . . ). Someone suggested to John that they ought to change their name to "Summer Velo."

Hi Cecil. Decided to post a comment, as I didn't know how to email you. Figured you had to read them first. Keep up the great blogging. Well written, entertaining and good pics. Be safe out there, such awful tragedies this month. It makes you look over your shoulder more. I have a pretty long commute into downtown, and was hit last year by a driver who passed me and turned right. Luckily I only had a few scrapes and my bike was fine. Your comment was right on about cops and firefighters traveling to services. It's comraderie, respect, and support. You watching the fires? Some of my favorite winter cycling routes! My brother still lives in Alpine. Dave, MV class of '79

Hi Dave!!! How the heck are you - It's good to hear from you. I know what you mean about being careful out there - it's funny - my mom reads my blog and worries about me killing myself riding down the side of some mountain and I have to tell her that I am much more likely to get killed riding to work. I am glad your right hook experience was relatively minor.
